Create your own music/band poster

In this course, students learn about graphic design, lettering and illustration. We will be focussing on two principles of design—rhythm and unity—in order to create art that represents our favourite artists or songs. Music and art will be combined to create album covers, concert posters and song art.

Here is what you’ll learn:

• Communicate your ideas
• Use line and shape to draw the viewer’s eye
• Creatively respond to music
• Integrate text into art using lettering and calligraphy

For your home study you will get:

Some drawing experience is helpful but not required.

When: Sun 1pm, July 5, 12, 19, 26

Time: 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Age: 7 and up, suitable for  AC 2, Character Design, AC3 and AC Teens

Fees: $20 per class/ 80 per course or 4 online credits
