Raffi Anderian is an artist and an illustrator, best known for his award-winning artwork for the Toronto Star newspaper. He graduated from Sheridan in 1985 and was top of his class. At age 24, he was the youngest person to win the coveted National Newspaper Award for Editorial Cartooning. Over 1200 of his illustrations are in the permanent collection of the Library Archives Canada for their significant contribution to Canadian culture.
Raffi also paints landscapes in oils. He has traveled throughout Canada, producing paintings ranging in size from small sketches on a panel to larger works on canvas. His painted scenes of downtown Toronto, known as “Raffi s Toronto” are sold as art prints and yearly calendars.

Raffi will be teaching drawing and painting to our AC3 and Teen students during summer. For the fall term, he will be teaching AC3 / Teen classes and Character Design class on Sundays.
